Walt Disney Arrives at Disneyland in 2025
Disneyland fans, get ready for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to step into the world of Walt Disney himself! In 2025, Disneyland will introduce a groundbreaking new attraction at the Main Street Opera House when an animatronic Walt Disney arrives.
For the first time ever, visitors will be able to sit down in a recreation of Walt’s office and hear directly from the visionary behind Disneyland, thanks to the world’s first Walt Disney Audio-Animatronics figure.

This innovative show, titled Walt Disney — A Magical Life, will allow guests to experience Walt Disney reflecting on his life, career, and the dreams he had for the future. The animatronic figure will share personal stories, insights into the creation of Disneyland, and the ambitious plans he was working on before his passing.
The set design will closely resemble Walt’s office suite at the Walt Disney Studios lot in Burbank, complete with iconic items like his leather briefcase, a model of the plane he used to scout land for Walt Disney World, and a bulletin board showcasing Disneyland projects from 1966.

Disney Parks Chairman Josh D’Amaro shared the exciting news during the D23 fan event, revealing that this project has been years — even decades — in the making. “Creating our first Walt figure is an idea that’s been whispered in the hallowed halls of Imagineering for years…and we’re finally ready,” D’Amaro said.

The new show will debut solo, before eventually rotating with the classic Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln. Disneyland has already filed building permits valued at $5 million with the city of Anaheim to upgrade the Opera House with new show elements, lighting, audio, and systems to bring this vision to life.
