World of Color — ONE To Close For Refurbishment This September in Disneyland

If you are planning a trip to Disneyland Resort next month, then I have some bad news. While you will get to celebrate Halloween Time in the resort, soaking in the spooky decor, frightfully fun attractions, and terrifying treats, you will also likely miss out on a Disney nighttime spectacular.

World of Color — ONE is set to close at Disney California Adventure on September 9, 2024 for refurbishment, which is expected to last weeks.

World of Color — ONE Debuted Last Year

The updated version of the classic show debuted in January 2023 as part of the Disney100 celebration.  It has continued to entertain and enthrall guests ever since.

The first Disneyland Resort nighttime spectacular to showcase characters and films from Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar, Lucasfilm, and Marvel, World of Color — ONE is a grand celebration of the timeless stories that Disney has told over the last century.

The Refurbishment Timing Makes Sense

While some guests will be disappointed not to catch World of Color — ONE, the timing of the refurbishment makes sense. With Disney California Adventure set to close early for Oogie Boogie Bash on roughly one-third of the nights in September, Disney picked the timeframe that would least inconvenience guests.
