ICONIC DISNEY SNACKS: Wookiee Cookie from Backlot Express
Every now and then, we revisit fan-favorite Disney snacks to see if they stand the test of time. (It definitely has nothing to do with wanting to eat them again, what are you talking about?)
Recently, we’ve revisited resort staples like the Ronto Wrap in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and the Springs Rolls in Magic Kingdom. But today, we’re headed to Backlot Express to grab a classic, galactic goodie.
Wookiee Cookie
The Wookiee Cookie at Backlot Express is arguably one of the most iconic treats in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Backlot Express has plenty of seating, making it an amazing place to take a break and refuel/rehydrate. The menu has tons of entrees and beverages, but you can usually find us here for one thing and one thing only–the Wookiee Cookie.
Two oatmeal cookies with vanilla cream sandwiched in between, and a milk chocolate sash–that’s all it takes to make this fan-favorite treat. And nothing more is required…our taste buds are more than satisfied with this combination of ingredients.
The treat is huge, making it a great, shareable option. The cookie’s exterior is crunchy and crumbly, while the middle is soft. (What more could you want out of a cookie?)
The vanilla cream filling is light and whipped, balancing out the crunch of the cookie nicely. This is still a solid choice at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, so be sure to grab your own for $6.79!
And we’ll keep revisiting classic resort snacks to see if they’re still worth a bite, so stay tuned to MickeyBlog.com!
