Disney Shares Fly-Through and First Look at Model Homes For Cotino, a Storyliving Community
If you have been reading along here at MickeyBlog, then you know that we have been closely following the creation of Cotino, Disney’s first Storyliving community.
The new chapter in Disney’s history is being written as we speak in California’s Coachella Valley, where development on Cotino is currently underway.
As the first Storyliving community, Cotino will be master-planned by Disney, designed by Walt Disney Imagineering, and staffed by Disney Cast Members. Residents will essentially have the chance to live in the Disney magic!

“These master-planned communities are intended to inspire residents to foster new friendships, pursue their interests and write the next exciting chapter in their lives — all while enjoying the attention to detail, unique amenities and special touches that are Disney hallmarks,” Disney said when announcing the initiative.
A First Look at Cotino’s Model Homes!
The last time we checked in on Cotino’s development, Disney shared a first look at the new designs from homebuilders Woodbridge Pacific Group and Davidson Communities.
With just months to go until the first residents move into their new homes in Cotino, Disney has now shared a first look at model homes that give fans a sneak peek at what’s ahead.

Shea Homes constructed the first model homes based on the designs we shared back in May. According to Disney, the interiors are being finished, while the exterior elements bring the desert architecture to life.
The model first model home (pictured above on the left) is part of the Cotino Agrarian Collection and features natural materials combined with contemporary shapes. The use of stone and timber gives the homes a modern style.
The home on the right, meanwhile, is part of the Cotino Oasis Collection. Its exterior was designed by iconic mid-century modern architecture.

Finally, down the street, a model home from the Woodbridge Pacific group has also started construction. The home is part of the Cotino Aspiron Collection and is inspired by the artistic movement in the Valley today!
A Fly-Over Tour
Disney has also shared a fly-through video of Cotino, giving residents an idea of what to expect. The tour ends at the Artisan Club. Here, club members can go for a swim in Cotino Bay or grab dinner at Architect’s Fork.
With the Shea model homes expected to open in just a few weeks, we should get a better look at Cotino. So, be sure to check back with MickeyBlog!
