While it has now been a week since D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event took place in Anaheim, California, Disney fans are still feeling the magic.
Between the major announcements, exciting experiences, and celebration of Disney history, the 2024 D23 event was undoubtedly one for the record books.

Now that the (pixie) dust had settled, Disney shared some of their favorite moments from the Ultimate Fan Event. So, let’s take a trip down memory lane.

As with any D23 gathering, Disney fans showed off their creativity last weekend with some amazing costumes!

Who’s the Leader of the Club?
While D23: The Ultimate Fan Event was a star-studded affair that hosted movie stars, Disney Legends, and some of the biggest names in Hollywood, one star shone brighter than the rest.

Disney Cast Members Meet-Up
D23 was not only a place for Disney fans to gather, but it also served as a reunion for Disney Cast Members.

The men and women who make the magic happen (many of whom were working at the event) gathered in front of the Sorcerer Hat statue in front of the convention hall for a group picture!
‘Star Wars’ Delivers
As expected, Star Wars had a major presence during last week’s festivities. On stage, Lucasfilm gave fans a preview of the upcoming Disney+ series Skeleton Crew.
The franchise really made its mark, however, on the show floor. At the Star Wars pavilion, guests could immerse themselves in a galaxy far, far away and utilize the Void.

The Imagineering Pavilion
Last, but certainly not least, we have to talk about the Imagineering pavilion.

Following Saturday Night’s Horizons: Disney Experiences Showcase, fans got to take a closer look at the future of Disney Parks thanks to Walt Disney Imagineering.

The Imagineering pavilion played host to amazing new models that showcased many of Disney’s big announcements.
Disney Legends Take Center Stage
Getting his moment in the spotlight, Imagineer Joe Rhode was humbled.
“It’s a great honor to be counted as a Disney Legend…to even be considered in the same breath as the other honorees this season,” Joe told the crowd. “None of this is done alone, I owe everything that I am to others.”

For Martha Blanding, a legendary Disneyland Cast Member and the first Black Disneyland Tour Guide, it was an emotional experience.

“Never let other people determine your future…I promised myself that I wouldn’t cry, but that’s hard because becoming a Disney Legend is something I never thought would happen to me. When Josh called to give me the news, I was speechless.”
A Weekend to Remember
While D23: The Ultimate Disney Event has come and gone, we will soon get to watch Disney’s big announcements come to fruition.
