EPCOT Will Close Early This October For the Gartner IT Symposium/Xpo 2024
If you are visiting Walt Disney World towards the end of October, you may need to plan your park days a bit more carefully.
As we previously reported, Magic Kingdom will close early on select nights as the park continues to host Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. However, Magic Kingdom is not the only park with abnormal park hours in the ten days before Halloween.
Here is the latest.
EPCOT Will Close Early on October 22
On October 22, EPCOT is set to close early at 5:00 PM for the Gartner IT Symposium/Xpo 2024.
For the event, 8,000 CIOs, IT executives, and other senior leaders will descend upon Walt Disney World for a convention that will “explore the technology, insights, and trends shaping the future of IT and business, including generative AI, business transformation, cybersecurity, customer experience, data analytics, executive leadership, and more.”

At this time, it looks like the 22nd is the only date that the park will close early for the convention. Magic Kingdom, however, is set to close early for normal park guests on October 20, 21, 24, 25, and 27.
Make Sure You Plan Ahead!
Luckily, on October 22, Magic Kingdom will be open from 9:00 AM until 9:00 PM. Disney’s Hollywood Studios will also stay open until 9:00 PM that day, while Animal Kingdom closes at 6:00 PM.
While visiting a park on a day when it closes early has its benefits, if you want to maximize your hours, you may want to visit Magic Kingdom on the 22nd. That way, you will avoid the EPCOT early closing and the Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party dates.
