A Pennsylvania Woman Is Suing Disney After Claiming to Be “Stampeded” at Magic Kingdom
A Pennsylvania woman is suing Walt Disney World after she says she was knocked over and injured during a “stampede” at Magic Kingdom.
Debra O’Steen filed suit in Orange County last week, claiming negligence.
The incident in question occurred during O’Steen’s June 25 visit to Magic Kingdom. While walking down Main Street, U.S.A, the plaintiff claims that she was “knocked over in a stampede” when a “crowd of people rushed” towards her. According to the lawsuit, the park was extremely busy that day.

At this time, it is unclear what event caused the crowd to rush towards O’Steen. On June 25, both the Festival of Fantasy Parade and Happily Ever After were performed.
O’Steen Claims Disney Was Negligent
The lawsuit says Walt Disney World was negligent in keeping the crowd under control before the event.

This negligence, O’Steen says, led to a terminal injury, mental and physical pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement, hospital expenses, and lost wages. She is suing for damages and has requested a trial by jury. The plaintiff is being represented by Morgan and Morgan.
News of O’Steen’s lawsuit comes just days after Disney made headlines for attempting to move a wrongful death lawsuit to arbitration because the plaintiff had signed up for a free trial of Disney+.
