NEW: Peter Pan’s Flight Reopens Today in Magic Kingdom
Peter Pan’s Flight reopened early this morning in Walt Disney World. That’s right- the ride opened earlier than anticipated– and MickeyBlog is there.

The whimsical ride in Fantasyland closed for refurbishment in early July, disappointing many Disney fans and guests. The ride shut down and was estimated to be closed until August 21st.

However, fans were surprised to hear that the iconic attraction would open a few days early with a refreshed look and updated scenes.

What’s New?
We were in Fantasyland bright and early to check out the updated attraction.

Plenty of fans were also ready to experience this popular attraction again. The queue remained the same, though it appeared brighter and refreshed as we eagerly stood in line to await our adventure.

However, we did notice that the teepees on the mural have changed…

… and so have the ones along the loading zone.

These updated teepees now match the teepees that are inside the attraction.

As we joined the Darling children for our high-flying adventure, we noticed an updated scene. The ride debuted this new Native American scene with Tiger Lily.

Here is a great close-up! The original scenes received criticism for their portrayal of Native Americans and have been removed.

Imagineers created a more accurate and positive portrayal in the new updates.

We noticed that many of our favorite scenes have not changed but definitely have a brighter glow.

And look how bright the flowers are! In general, it looks like the majority of scenes received a glow-up and fresh paint.
