Low Crowds and Short Wait Times Greet Guests at Magic Kingdom This Morning
While most of the United States is enjoying summer, at Walt Disney World, spooky season has already kicked off.
Magic Kingdom is currently getting ready to host its third Mickey’s No-So-Scary Halloween Party of the year tonight, allowing guests to meet rare characters, enjoy terrifying treats, and experience all kinds of fun festivities.
As the Magic Kingdom will close to regular guests at 6 PM to prepare for the spooktacular party, the crowds at the park have been very light today.
Guests hoping to get the most out of their Disney park tickets have chosen to visit the resort’s other parks, which are open for their regular operating hours today.
Crowds Are Light at Magic Kingdom
While visiting Magic Kingdom on a Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party night means you only get to visit the park for 10 hours or so, you can also enjoy lower wait times and fewer crowds.
For example, at 10 AM ET this morning, the wait for Big Thunder Mountain Railroad was only 20 minutes!
In Tomorrowland, the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover was essentially a walk-on…
…while Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin had just a 5-minute wait!
Even the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, which typically has the longest line in the park, was just a 45-minute wait.
Other Fantasyland rides like The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh have slightly longer waits.
Peter Pan’s Flight (which just reopened today!) has an unusually low wait of just 40 minutes.
Meanwhile, the always-popular Pirates of the Caribbean had just a 10-minute wait time.
The Haunted Mansion, which is especially popular this time of year, was just 15 minutes.
A Great Time to Visit the Park
I personally love visiting Magic Kingdom during special event days. While you spend fewer hours in the park overall, you spend much, much less time waiting!
So, if you are planning a trip to Walt Disney World during either the Halloween season or the holidays, consider taking advantage of the lower crowd levels that the special events afford!
