A New ‘Mickey Mouse March’ Mural Has Arrived at Disney’s All-Star Music Resort
As a child of the 1990s, I have a special place in my heart for the Disney All-Star Resorts. While Disney fans often dismiss the trio of Value Resorts, I have always found them to be wonderful throwbacks to a simpler time.
Sure, they are in your face, there are a lot of giant props, and the theming is perhaps not the most complex of a Disney resort, but they are also a ton of fun.
The resorts have plenty of pools, food courts, and arcades. The All-Stars Resorts even have references to Herbie the Love Bug and The Mighty Duckcs- I mean, what more could anyone want!
With that in mind, I want to turn your attention to Disney’s All-Star Music resort, where a new “Mickey Mouse March” mural has been unveiled in Melody Hall.
The All-Star Music Hall of Fame
If you have previously visited the resort, you may remember the pictures of famous musicians who stretched the lengths of the lobby’s wall. The highlighted musicians were a who’s who of, well, the 20th Century. Sure, Disney got around to adding Taylor Swift 15 years ago, but by and large, the collection was dated.
Collectively, this area was known as the All-Star Music Hall of Fame.
While the wall remains the same aqua color that it has always been, a new mural has replaced the musician photos and memorabilia.
The New ‘Mickey Mouse March’ Mural
In the new artwork, Mickey leads an orchestra of Disney characters in playing the “Mickey Mouse March.”
As you can see, the mural features Minnie playing drums, Donald banging a gong, and Daisy playing a horn.
Other characters featured include Horace Horsecollar and Calarabelle Cow, who is, of course, playing a cowbell.
At the center of the mural, maestro Mickey himself leads the orchestra from his podium.
Above the characters, a white staff with red musical notes runs the length of the mural. When played, these notes make up the “Mickey Mouse March”!
What About the Other All-Star Resorts?
While only All-Star Music has gotten a new mural so far, it looks like the other two All-Star Resorts will soon follow suit.
When visiting the All-Star Movies today, we noticed the resort’s Hall of Fame had been removed. Soon, another new mural should pop up.
I can’t wait to see what the other two new murals look like!
