The First ‘Snow White’ Poster Is Finally Here!
Just days after releasing the first trailer for their upcoming live-action Snow White film, Disney has unveiled the movie’s official poster!
Set to hit theaters on March 21, 2025, Snow White will be a modern retelling of the 1937 classic Disney film Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

Written by Erin Cressida Wilson and Greta Gerwig (Barbie), the film will star Rachel Zegler (Snow White), Gal Gadot (Evil Queen), Andrew Burnap (Jonathan), and Ansu Kabia (the Huntsman).
The Film’s Production Has Been Troubled
Originally announced during the 2022 D23 Expo, the production of Snow White has been troubled. Disney first found itself in the crosshairs when Peter Dinklage accused the live-action remake of being a “backward story” due to its depiction of dwarfism.

Disney subsequently announced that it would be “reimagining the dwarfs to avoid reinforcing stereotypes from the original film.” This response drew backlash from fans of the original film and numerous other actors with dwarfism who felt that Dinklage’s comments did not represent the entire community.
Rachel Zegler’s comments criticizing the original animated Snow White also brought negative attention to the film. She said the animated Disney classic was “extremely dated when it comes to the ideas of women being in roles of power and what a woman is fit for in the world.”
The actress later told Extra TV that “the original cartoon came out in 1937, and very evidently so. There’s a big focus on her love story with a guy who literally stalks her. Weird. So we didn’t do that this time.”

While Snow White was initially set to be released on March 22, 2024, the film was delayed until March 21, 2025. According to Disney, the delay was due to last year’s SAG-AFTA Strike.
First Look at ‘Snow White’
When the first trailer dropped last weekend, fans finally got to see both Zegler singing “Whistle While You Work” as Snow White and the new CGI dwarfs.
