Release Dates Revealed for Frozen 3 and Pixar’s Hoppers
Exciting news coming out of D23! Disney has officially revealed release dates for Frozen 3 and Pixar’s Hoppers, and it’s set to hit theaters on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, November 24, 2027. This timing is no surprise, as it’s become a tradition for Frozen and other Disney animated films to debut during this prime holiday window.
Fans can mark their calendars for what promises to be another blockbuster addition to the beloved Frozen franchise.
The first Frozen movie made its limited debut in a single theater for five days back in 2013 before expanding nationwide on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. Frozen 2 followed in 2019, opening the Friday before Thanksgiving. Combined, these two films have brought in an impressive $2.7 billion at the box office.

With the announcement of Frozen 3, anticipation is already building for what new adventures Anna, Elsa, and the rest of the Arendelle crew will embark on.
But that’s not the only movie release date news from D23! Pixar also unveiled their upcoming film, Hoppers, which is set to be released on March 6, 2026. The film features a unique storyline about a human brain inside a beaver and will include the voices of Jon Hamm and Bobby Moynihan.

The release date for Hoppers puts it head-to-head with Warner Bros.’ animated adaptation of The Cat in the Hat. It will be interesting to see how these two animated films perform against each other (or if one studio decides to move the release date).
Additionally, Disney reaffirmed the release date for Avatar 3, now officially titled Avatar: Fire & Ash. Fans of James Cameron’s epic saga can expect this next chapter to arrive in theaters on December 19, 2025.
