Former Disney Channel Star Skai Jackson Arrested For Battery
Former Disney Channel star Skai Jackson was arrested last weekend and charged with domestic battery following an altercation with her boyfriend.
The incident occurred on August 9 at Universal CityWalk in Hollywood, California. Trouble began when security saw Jackson and her boyfriend beginning to fight. The guards eventually decided to call the police after Jackson allegedly pushed her boyfriend twice.
According to TMZ, when officers arrived on the scene, both Jackson and her boyfriend denied that any physical altercation had occurred. Instead, Jackson told police that the couple was happily engaged and expecting a baby.

After reviewing the security footage, officers arrested Jackson and charged her with misdemeanor domestic battery. She was released from custody a few hours later.
Jackson Starred in ‘Jessie’ and ‘Bunk’d’
Jackson rose to fame after portraying Zuri Ross on the Disney Channel series Jessie. She would later reprise her role in the Jessie spin-off Bunk’d from 2015 to 2018.

Her other Disney credits include Kick Buttowski: Suburban Daredevil, the Marvel Rising franchise, and, most recently, Muppets Haunted Mansion. In 2020, she also competed in ABC’s Dancing with the Stars.
Since the incident, Jackson has not made any public comments. The actress is famously not on social media and has kept her relationship private. In February, however, she shared a photo on Snapchat posing with a man she identified as her boyfriend. In the photo, she covered his face with an emoji.

The LA County District Attorney’s Office will now review the case to determine whether the charges were warranted.
