BREAKING: Disney Shares First Look at Avatar Land Coming to Disney California Adventure
The Horizons: Disney Experiences Showcase kicked off tonight at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event with a bang. Taking the stage after a musical performance, Josh D’Amaro previewed the new Avatar experience coming to Disney California Adventure.
Drawing inspiration from Avatar: The Way of Water, Avatar: Fire and Ash, and future films, the new land will take guests to a side of Pandora that we have never seen before.
Here is a look at the new concept art for the land! It looks like it will have a lot more water than Pandora- The World of Avatar at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

An Excursion Through Pandora
In the new Avatar Land, guests will be able to go on an excursion deep into the heart of Pandora in search of majestic natural wonders.
Along the way, they will find both beauty and danger.
The new thrilling attraction promises to be a “dynamic, intense, and emotional experience.”

A new Avatar attraction coming to Disney California Adventure will send guests on the adventure of a lifetime in search of majestic natural wonders that only can be found on Pandora and the beauty – and danger – that come along with the journey.
As opposed to Na’vi River Journey, the new attraction looks to be a thrilling adventure and should be the land’s E-Ticket ride.
I, for one, can’t wait to see the immersive ways that Disney brings Pandora to life.
