FIRST LOOK: Disney Treasure’s Haunted Mansion Parlor and Periscope Pub Costumes Revealed
D23: The Ultimate Fan Event kicked off in Anaheim today, and we here at MickeyBlog have been doing our best to bring you updates on all the celebrations, announcements, and merchandise coming out of Disney’s flagship event.
Earlier today, we brought you news about the King Thanos ride vehicle being displayed on the show floor and toured the D23 Marketplace.
Now, I want to turn your attention to the Disney Cruise Line, where we have a new update on the Disney Treasure.

New Crew Member Costumes Draw on Classic Disney Attractions
At D23 in Anaheim today, Senior Costume Designer Josh Winchester revealed his designs for the crew member costumes for the Haunted Mansion Parlor and Periscope Pub, which are set to debut aboard the Disney Cruise Line’s newest vessel.
Josh is no stranger to the Cruise Line, having previously designed crew uniforms for the Disney Wish. For his latest threads, the costume designer wanted to strike a balance between honoring the inspiration behind the new spaces and creating a uniquely Disney Crusie Line look.

“In my role, I have the opportunity to shape how our crew members will fold into the story and energize the worlds Imagineers have built,” Josh said.
Josh’s designs for the Haunted Mansion Parlor costume take inspiration from the classic Disney attraction. The striking green vest atop a striped purple shirt will remind guests of the Haunted Mansion’s iconic stretching room wallpaper. As an homage to the attraction’s aesthetic, the costumes also have Easter egg accessories, including a mysterious set of keys.

The Periscope Pub on the Disney Treasur will be inspired by Dinsey’s classic film, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.

The crew members’ costumes feature nautical navy vests with faux leather on the shoulder, neckline, and pockets. Drawing from Walt Disney World’s 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea attraction, crew members will also wear a custom pin inspired by one previously worn by Cast Members working the attraction.
