Seven Disney World Hotel Rooms You MUST Try
When you visit Walt Disney World, you’ll relish your hotel room options.
Disney owns and operates more than 20 resorts, all of which uphold the Mouse’s lofty standards.

Still, some places tower above the rest, figuratively and sometimes even literally.
Here are seven rooms every Disney fan should try.

During the summer of 2024, Disney finally completed the first part of a reimagining of one of its most iconic properties.

Since the early days of Walt Disney World, campers have flocked to Disney’s Fort Wilderness, which was home to charming cabins.
Alas, after 50 years, the cabins had deteriorated to the point that they were causing problems for management.

So, Disney stripped the old cabins from the lot and replaced them with entirely new facilities.
As MickeyBlog’s TikTok shows, the 2024 cabins are welcoming and warm.

You’ll treasure having a private space at Walt Disney World. It’ll feel like you’ve combined camping and Disney vacations!
Bungalow at the Polynesian
@mickeyblog_ We love staying at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort 🌺🥥🌴 What’s your favorite Disney Resort? Some of today’s suggestions are admittedly upscale in nature.

You should think of them as bucket list options, rooms you want to try at some point.
Perhaps the top option at Walt Disney World is the Bungalow at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.

This room is unique at Disney in that the Bungalow is actually in the water.
You’ll stay in an intimate two-bedroom suite nestled across the water from Magic Kingdom.

When you sit on your deck, you can dip your feet in the bungalow’s private hot tub and stare at the park.
Theme Park View at the Grand Floridian

Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa Sugar Loaf Buildings
Of course, that’s not the only way to watch Magic Kingdom from a unique perspective.
Some Disney resorts allow you to book specific room types, and three of them earn a spot on this list because they’re so good.

Disney
For example, some hotel rooms at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa offer Theme Park View.
If the name doesn’t give it away, this room type allows guests to see Magic Kingdom from their window.

Cinderella Castle
How does that help you? Who wouldn’t want to start their day by looking out their window and staring at the Most Magical Place on Earth?
I’d argue the option is even better at night. That’s when you can watch the nighttime fireworks show from your hotel room.

DVC
Disney even pipes in the music for Happily Ever After on the hotel televisions so that you can get the full effect.
You’ll feel like you’re getting a private fireworks show!
Lake View at Bay Lake Tower

Another view I love is at Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort.
As the name implies, this hotel overlooks Bay Lake. Also, I’ll add that there’s a curve to the hotel’s design.

Bay Lake Tower
So, the sections in the middle of Bay Lake Tower feature Lake View, a room type you can book.
When you stay in a Lake View room, you’ll overlook the exclusive Bay Lake Tower swimming pool, which conveniently has a mouse shape.

So, you’ll enjoy a not-so-hidden Mickey as you gaze at the pool.
Simultaneously, you’ll stare across the waters of Bay Lake, which is phenomenal in and of itself.

However, the experience reaches another level on rainy days.
Watching the rain pour on the water is such a tranquil experience that you’ll root for stormy weather!
Tower Studio at the Riviera

Sometimes, your relationship needs a challenge. That’s how I jokingly describe the Tower Studios at Disney’s Riviera Resort.
Disney designed these rooms as romantic getaways. They’re ideal for two kinds of tourists.

Disney’s Riviera Resort
The first set includes the folks who don’t spend much time in their hotel rooms during a Disney visit.
In that scenario, you’re booking a cheaper room in exchange for ready access to the Disney Skyliner.

However, the real benefit of the Tower Studio comes shining through for lovers.
This tight space guarantees that you’re never more than a few feet away from the person you love.

Since the Tower Studio rooms are only 255 square feet, you’re as close together as the human condition allows.
These are arguably the most romantic rooms at Walt Disney World and something every couple should try once.
Savannah View at Animal Kingdom Lodge
Here’s the other view that deserves your attention. In fact, it’s probably the best of the bunch.
At Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, you’ll live among the animals for a time.

The hotel mirrors its accompanying theme park, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, by hosting several natural habitats.
So, the animals live at the resort, while you’re just one of the many transitory guests.

You can exit the hotel lobby and walk by the savannahs where the animals live, which is a lot of fun.
However, the next-level approach to a hotel stay involves booking a Savannah View room.

These hotel rooms face animal habitats, so you’ll be staring at the animals while you’re in your room.
Animal Kingdom Lodge loyalists – and there are a LOT of them – swear by Savannah View.

They love sipping their morning coffee as they watch the animals awaken each day.
Similarly, at night, you can track which creatures are the most nocturnal. Staying here provides an immersive, engaging experience.
Treehouse Villas at Saratoga Springs

Photo: Disney
Finally, we have one of the most serene rooms at Walt Disney World.
Guests at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa typically stay in standard hotel rooms, including studios and suites.

However, the hotel also hosts secluded forest getaways known as Treehouse Villas.
These octagonal hotel rooms feel like something from a Disney fairytale.

When you look at one, you half-expect the Treehouse Villa to stand up on its stilts and walk deeper into the forest.
When you stay here, you’re spending a few days in the proverbial cabin in the woods, albeit thankfully without the horror elements.

Wooden Foot Bridge at Disney’s Saratoga Springs
You’ll feel completely isolated in a rustic yet oddly luxurious setting. Disney did glamping before it was a thing.
That’s why everyone should aspire to spend a few nights in a Treehouse Villa…and every other room on this list!
