Mickey’s of Glendale Is Bringing Imagineer-Inspired Merch to D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event
Ahead of this weekend’s D23: The Ultimate Fan event, Disney is promising fans a shopping experience like no other.
To that end, the company has shared a sneak peek at the Mickey’s of Glendale collections that are set to arrive in Anaheim this weekend.
For those who don’t know, Mickey’s of Glendale is the Walt Disney Imagineering store. It is only natural, then, that the new collections were designed by Disney Imagineers, who relied on iconic characters and theme park attractions to capture a little bit of Disney magic.
Sorcerer Mickey Takes Center Stage
Paying tribute to the mouse who started it all, the Mickey’s of Glendale collection took inspiration from Walt Disney’s The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, fusing the classic animation with modern apparel.

Imagineer Spotlight Collection
The Imagineer Spotlight collection will be exclusively available at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event. Seven Imagineers contributed unique artwork for this release, which was then used across various products.
For his design, Lead Concept Designer Mike Quinn took inspiration from his recent work on Fantasy Springs at Tokyo DisneySea.

“The opportunity to play a part in the creation of Fantasy Springs has been a highlight of my Imagineering journey,” shared Mike. “The enchantment and delight of this captivating new port provide the inspiration for this collection.”
Producer Dani Iglesias, meanwhile, created exclusive artwork that celebrates The Muppet Movie.
This piece of artwork honors the 70th anniversary of the Jim Henson Company and features all your favorite Muppets!

Dani, a self-described nerd, says she has known she wanted to work for Disney since she was a kid. Over her 15-year career with the company, she has been a concierge hostess at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort, a communications specialist for Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and, in 2018, a Walt Disney Imagineer.
These days, Dani works as a producer for The Muppet Studios, leading creative efforts for merchandise illustration, new project development, and character and brand positioning.
