NEWS: Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Is CLOSED After Reaching Capacity This Afternoon
With temperatures in the low 90s, Walt Disney World guests have flocked to Typhoon Lagoon today for some fun in the sun.
In fact, by 1:00 PM ET, Disney’s water park had reached capacity and was no longer admitting new guests.
After a rainy week that featured severe weather and with more precipitation on the horizon, guests capitalized on a warm and dry day.
Blizzard Beach Remains Closed
It should be noted that Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park is currently closed for refurbishment, meaning that Typhoon Lagoon was the only water park open today.
Traditionally, the park is busiest in the early afternoon. This is when guests who arrive at opening overlap with those who choose to hop over later in the day.
Typhoon Lagoon Will Be Open Until 8 PM
While it remains to be seen if Typhoon Lagoon re-opens to guests later in the day, for now, if you were planning on visiting the water park, you are going to want to make other plans.
Typhoon Lagoon is open today from 10 AM until 8 PM.
With Disney World guests taking advantage of the last days of summer, it would not be surprising for Typhoon Lagoon to continue to be busy. After all, who doesn’t want to spend some time in Disney’s largest wave pool or circling Mount Mayday on a lazy river!
