What is a Dining Package?
Ok, let’s start with the basics!
A dining package is a deal offered at Disney Parks, in which guests can enjoy a delicious three- or four-course meal followed by exclusive reserved seating for a favorite performance. Shows such as fireworks, EPCOT festival concerts, and other seasonal events have all seen these deals and, since May, Fantasmic has also boasted the offering in Disneyland!

For Fantasmic, there are four Disneyland restaurants that offer packages, each with their own unique menus and at different price points.
It’s worth noting that the packages can be booked for lunch, dinner, or even brunch, with a voucher permitting entry to a reserved seating spot for a pre-specified Fantasmic performance that same night.
As always, reservations can be made on the Disneyland app.
Rancho del Zocalo
For this review, we’re going to be taking you along to Rancho del Zocalo.
This colorful Mexican-Korean fusion restaurant offers what we believe to be the best value dining package of the four at Disneyland, and we’re here to show you why!
Selecting this restaurant as your venue for a Fantasmic dining experience will offer guests a three-course meal to be enjoyed at lunch or dinner, before the spectacle of the fireworks later that evening!
Rancho del Zocalo is a quick-service eatery, and there is a choice of four entrees available for this experience.
These are:
- Chile Verde Riblets, served with a spicy tomato salsa
- Sweet and Spicy Shrimp Taco, with marinated grilled shrimp
- Potato Tacos, served with picante aioli and guacatillo (plant-based)
- Sweet and Savory Carne Asada, with marinated short rib
These all also include sides of cilantro-lime rice, refried beans, radish slaw, and Korean potato salad.
As you can see from our foodie photos, there sure is a lot!
To drink, guests will have the choice of a regular fountain drink, tea, or coffee.
Then, for dessert, it’s a cute Cortadillo cake!
If you have younger diners, the kid’s options are
- Kid’s Riblet
- Kid’s Potato Taco (plant-based)
- Kid’s Mac & Cheese
These are served with a Cuties orange, Cortadillo, and a drink.
Fantasmic!
With the delicious meal, guests will receive a voucher admitting them to view a select Fantasmic! showing, in a reserved location near the waterfront.
We entered by the Harbour Galley and were led to our reserved spot from 8PM ahead of the 9PM showtime.
It’s worth noting that, during the performance, guests must sit on the floor.

And at 8:50PM, just ten minutes before showtime.
It’s worth noting the much lower crowd levels than what we’re used to when it comes to nighttime spectaculars at Disney!
Is It Worth It?
In our eyes, the Disney performance dining packages are always a great option to consider if you’re looking to make a special event out of a trip.
However, when it comes to this specific Fantasmic dining experience here at Rancho del Zocalo, we think the offer is quite the hidden gem!
Costing $35 for adults or $25 for guests under nine, this deal offers not only a delicious, filling meal but also access to a laid-back location with a phenomenal view of Fantasmic. That’s definitely worth it in our eyes!
