Disney Characters Are Coming to Canva For a Limited Time
Canva has reached an agreement with The Walt Disney Company that will allow the online design platform to use 10 distinct Disney characters for a limited time.
The new partnership will give users the ability to integrate a little Disney magic into their social media posts, profile pictures, learning materials, and more.

The Deal Will Coincide With D23
Canva has acquired the rights to several characters, including Sorcerer Mickey, Princess Tiana, Din Djarin from The Mandalorian, Joy, and also Woody from Toy Story.

The new Disney graphics will be available on Canva beginning August 9, which is also the day that D23: The Ultimate Fan Event kicks off in Anaheim. They will be available on Canva through September 30.
“Canva’s goal is to put everything you need to design what’s in your mind’s eye right at your fingertips. This marks an exciting evolution in our content library as we add branded content to spark imagination and delight fans,” said Silvia Oviedo, Canva’s head of content and discovery.

Canva will have a significant presence at the Disney fan event. At the Canva Magic Print Shop at D23, guests will be encouraged to “Dream it, design it” by creating their own unique designs featuring D23 content.
Bob Iger Sits on the Canva Board
It should be noted that Disney CEO Bob Iger is also an investor and board member in Canva, further strengthening the ties between the two companies.
