Harrison Ford Admits He Knew Who Red Hulk Was All Along
Leading up to the release of Captain America: Brave New World, the always surly Harrison Ford was adamant that he had no idea what a Red Hulk was.
Ford, of course, is set to play Thunderbolt Ross in the upcoming Marvel film, a character who famously has a gamma-induced alter-ego.
In a June interview with ComicBook.com, Ford was asked if his character would be transforming into Red Hulk for Brave New World.
Looking legitimately confused, Ford simply responded, “What’s a Red Hulk.”
Ford Admits He Knew All Along
Now that the cat is out of the bag, however, Ford admits that he was just playing dumb.
“Yes, I did know, and I thought it was a fabulous secret to keep,” he told Entertainment Weekly in a recent interview. “Unfortunately, the secret’s out of the bag. But what I do not know is what the Red Hulks do, which is very interesting to me.”
Why Join the MCU?
At 82 years old, Harrison Ford has been one of Hollywood’s biggest stars for over four decades. So, what made the veteran actor decide to finally join the MCU?
According to Ford, it was his co-star’s ability “to make scenes that had complexity and drama and humor.”
“These guys could all do that really well. I had the best time. I had seen other actors in the Marvel universe, well respected, really good actors, have a really good time, and I said, ‘I want me some of that.’ And I got some.”
Captain America: Brave New World will hit theaters on February 14, 2025.
