The Beast Meet-and-Greet is BACK at Be Our Guest in Magic Kingdom
Since opening in December 2012, the Be Our Guest Restaurant has been the signature dining experience at Magic Kingdom.
A dream come true for Beauty and the Beast fans, the restaurant not only features an amazing menu of French-inspired cuisine but also allows guests to dine within the Beast’s Castle.
Inside the restaurant, guests can dine in one of three dining rooms — the Grand Ballroom, the West Wing, and the Rose Gallery. All three rooms have been faithfully recreated from Beauty and the Beast and remain some of the most immersive locations in the park.

From 2012 until 2020. dining at Be Our Guest also afforded fans the ability to meet with the Beast. With the advent of the COVID-19 pandemic, however, the Beast meet-and-greet was discontinued. While the character still roamed the dining room while guests ate, they could no longer individually meet the Beast.
The Beast Is Once Again Holding Court
Well, I am happy to report that, for the first time in four years, guests dining at Be Our Guest can once again meet with the Beast!
The ruler of the castle is currently meeting with guests in the Armory.
When dining at Be Our Guest today, our server explained that Beast would still be walking through the dining room and interacting with guests.
Now, however, at the end of their meal, guests are given a card with Beast’s autograph and directed to the Armory, where they can meet with the prince himself!
This is the only place in the parks where you can meet the Beast, making the Be Our Guest experience even more magical.
This is a Soft Opening
I should note, however, that a Cast Member we talked to said that this was a soft opening of the Beast meet-and-greet, and the restaurant will be trying it out for a couple of weeks.
Hopefully, however, the change becomes permanent, and the Beast will continue to meet with his guests.
