Guests Must Update My Disney Experience to Use Lightning Lane Multi Pass
A big change is coming to the Disney Parks in just a few days. Disney Genie+ is changing, and you want to make sure you have all of the details.

The new Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Single Pass system arrives on July 24, 2024, and just today, we noticed one key feature that will set you up for success.
Update My Disney Experience App
It looks like to be able to use the new Lightning Lane Multi Pass, guests will have to update the My Disney Experience app to the latest version.
Every time we opened the app before updating it, we were prompted with this notification.
Update the App
You can simply close out of that app, so technically, you don’t have to update, but it appears that you will have to update in order to use the new service at this time.
My Disney Experience
If you are visiting Walt Disney World this summer and plan to utilize the new Lightning Lane, take a minute to update your app to the newest version to avoid challenges down the road. We will keep you updated!
Lightning Lane Multi Pass & Single Pass
Disney fans are excited and ready for this change! Remember, Lightning Lane Multi Pass allows you to purchase a multi-pass; you can plan ahead of your visit and choose up to 3 multi-pass experiences and arrival windows in a theme park.

The Lightning Lane Single Pass replaces Individual Lightning Lane. Guests can purchase from the most in-demand rides in the parks, and you can purchase up to 2 Single Pass Lightning Lanes per day.
