Stage Shows Closed Until End of July in Magic Kingdom
Disney World really goes above and beyond when it comes to entertainment. There are Broadway-level stage productions, spectacular fireworks shows, elaborate parades, and more that happen every single day!
But, that doesn’t mean all of this entertainment is always available in the parks. And today, we noticed an entertainment closure that will be in effect for a few weeks.
Stage Shows Paused in Magic Kingdom
Two Cinderella Castle stage shows — Mickey’s Magical Friendship Faire and Let the Magic Begin — have been temporarily paused in Magic Kingdom. Disney did not announce anything about these changes, but we noticed the missing times online this morning.
Let the Magic Begin takes place in the mornings at Magic Kingdom. It’s the opening ceremonies for the day, with Mickey and Friends welcoming everyone to the park.

We didn’t see showtimes listed online until July 28th.

The same goes for Mickey’s Magical Friendship Faire. This musical stage show usually takes place several times a day at Cinderella Castle, but there are no times listed right now.

It should also return on July 28th, according to Disney’s website.

When we went to visit Cinderella Castle this morning, we saw that the stage was blocked off for construction.
So, I’m assuming that the reason for the paused stage shows is so Disney can do some work on the stage. This could possibly be in preparation for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, which kicks off on August 9th, but we’ll have to wait and see.
However, Disney is still making the same welcome announcement for Let the Magic Begin in the morning, and shooting off the welcome fireworks.
