Peter Pan’s Flight Now Closed for Refurbishment in Disney World
It is very rare to go to Disney World and have EVERYTHING be open and available. There is almost always a ride or store under refurbishment, an area of the parks or hotels under construction, or closures due to things like weather or technical difficulties.

Test Track closed
And now, a very popular ride is temporarily closed in Disney World for the next several weeks.
Peter Pan’s Flight Closed for Refurbishment
Peter Pan’s Flight is now closed in Magic Kingdom. The ride shut down today for refurbishment and will remain closed until August 21st.
Disney has not shared anything about what they’re doing to the ride during this refurbishment, but since it’s less than two months long, it’s probably safe to say that it’s just regular maintenance.
We shouldn’t expect to see any major changes, there might just be some things like refreshed paint or updated signs.
But, you never truly know with Disney, so we’ll have to wait and see what’s different when the ride opens back up in August!
For now, Fantasyland will be short one ride, and Magic Kingdom will be missing one of its most popular attractions overall.
The wait times at Peter Pan’s Flight are almost always some of the longest in the park, so with it being closed, we could see those crowds disperse into other areas. This could potentially make other lines longer!
Or, it could make people spend less time in Magic Kingdom overall, since there’s no reason to stick around and wait for this popular ride.
We’ll keep you updated on if we see anything exciting happening with the ride! Stay tuned for more Disney World news and info.
