The 4 Best Magic Kingdom Rides When You Need to Chill
We’ve all been there. It’s hot, it’s crowded, it likely just rained, and though you are having a great time, you need a break…and now.
You don’t want to ruin the fun, but you could use some shade, cooler air, and some way to sit down for a few minutes and recharge.

Cinderella Castle in Magic Kingdom
How do you keep everyone happy when you need to chill? You hop on one of these slower and more tranquil rides at Magic Kingdom.
An immersive experience, a slower pace, and perfect for everyone — these mellow attractions are great options when you need a break.
Carousel of Progress
Who’s ready for 21 minutes of blissful cool air and a comfy seat?? Head to Carousel of Progress in Tomorrowland!

Carousel of Progress
This is the perfect way to still have fun with your kids — while sitting down in air conditioning.
Enjoy an American family exploring progress through four distinct scenes, and the song “There’s a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow” is sure to get in your head.

“it’s a small world”
Located in Fantasyland, “it’s a small world” is a family-friendly ride that everyone can enjoy! Hop aboard the “Happiest Cruise That Ever Sailed” during this musical boat tour for an indoor attraction that is colorful, whimsical, and fun.

“it’s a small world”
The best part? The line moves pretty quickly, and the queue is inside.
Slow-moving and gentle, this quick and easy water ride is a 10-minute tour with iconic sights, colorful landmarks, and international sounds. You will love the singing and dancing dolls representing countries from all around the world.

The attraction is complete with an inspirational message and a positive song — just be ready for that song to get stuck in your head for the rest of your day.
The Haunted Mansion
Are you a happy haunt looking for some spooky fun? Then let’s ride with the grim-grinning ghosts on this classic attraction in Liberty Square.

Haunted Mansion
The queue is covered and part of the fun as you wander through a cemetery of spooky, yet humorous gravestones. In the main lobby, you’re greeted by a ghost host! It is dark and cool — perfect for a quick break.

Then hop into your personal (and slow moving) doom buggy and explore a Haunted House with funny and spooky ghostly scenes.
This chill attraction is not too scary and great for the entire family….have fun, but be sure to watch out for Hitchhiking Ghosts!
Tomorrowland Transit Authority People Mover
This is my go-to ride for a mellow experience and honestly, one of my overall favorite rides. It is the perfect attraction to sit down and relax in the middle of the day or a great way to escape the sun and crowds.

Experience the transportation of the future while relaxing in an open-air and breezy attraction on the PeopleMover.
The best part? The attraction is constantly moving, and there are usually short lines (if any) to deal with.

This 10-minute tour of Tomorrowland is a smooth and leisurely ride that is equal parts quiet and calming, but still entertaining. And in my opinion, it offers the best breeze at Disney World.
Be sure to check out these mellow attractions when you need a break on your next Disney vacation. Have fun!
