Where can you go to experience world-class dining, great shopping, unique entertainment, and more? If you are lucky enough to be visiting Walt Disney World, head over to Disney’s Boardwalk for summer fun and a dose of nostalgia.

Summer is the perfect time to experience the charm and nostalgia of Disney’s Boardwalk. Its versatility and old-fashioned ambiance creates a great vibe, and it is free to visit.

The quarter-mile promenade offers dining, shops, and a great nightlife. I love grabbing ice cream and people watching at the water’s edge or playing some of the midway games. And Abracadabar is one of my favorite places for a themed night of drinks!

The Boardwalk offers a turn-of-the-century feel and is also conveniently located! A short stroll brings you in the back of World Showcase at EPCOT and a quick boat ride takes you to Hollywood Studios.
Family-Friendly Fun
As the sun goes down, the fun begins! Check out the classic arcade games, or try your hand at the carnival-inspired games reminiscent of the Coney Island and Atlantic City Boardwalks.

Needing to feel a breeze? The whole family can cruise down the boardwalk on a Surrey bike built for 4!
Cool Off with an Ice Cream Treat
Beat the heat this summer at the Boardwalk- or rather one of the Disney resorts attached to the Boardwalk!
Enjoy a delicious sweet treat or milkshake from The Fountain in The Walt Disney World Dolphin.

This is actually one of my favorite ice cream shops and it is often overlooked. This sweet ice cream fountain and snack shop offers salads, burgers, and of course, sweet treats!
Indulge in creamy homemade and soft-serve ice cream, thick milkshakes, and fun floats. They carry a delicious selection of classic and new flavors like Caramel Cappuccino or Cookies & Cream.

You could also take a short walk over to Disney’s Beach Club Resort for amazing eats and delicious treats in a classic ’50s diner.
Experience a retro-inspired menu and nostalgic charm at Beaches & Cream Soda Shop.

Nestled between the Yacht and Beach Club Resorts in the EPCOT resort area, this charming hot spot features various sundaes and shakes, and everyone’s favorite colossal dessert, the Kitchen Sink!
Indulge in Some Great Eats!
There are so many delicious eats at the Boardwalk! You can grab a light dessert or a quick bite at one of the outdoor kiosks, or sit down and enjoy a full meal.

These are only a few of the amazing choices, as each of the resorts also offer amazing dining experiences (quick service and full service). My favorites? Yachtsman Steakhouse or Tratorria al Forno.

Mimes, musicians, actors, and more! There is plenty of live entertainment the whole family will love.
