13 Patriotic Ways to Celebrate the Fourth of July in Disney World!
It’s almost time for the Fourth of July! The whole country will be celebrating Independence Day tomorrow, including Disney World.
So, if you’re planning to be in the parks today and tomorrow and want to do some patriotic activities, we’ve got the perfect list for you! Here are 13 ways to celebrate the Fourth of July at Disney World.
Patriotic Ways to Celebrate the Fourth of July at Disney World
Visit the Hall of Presidents
The most patriotic thing you can probably do in Disney World is experience the Hall of Presidents in Magic Kingdom! This attraction lets you see all of the presidents throughout the U.S.’s history in animatronic form and listen to their stories.
An even more American thing to do in here? Take a nap and enjoy the air conditioning during the show.
As a bonus, you can make a reservation for Liberty Tree Tavern over here in Liberty Square to round out your presidential visit with some classic American Thanksgiving food.
Experience the Carousel of Progress
Carousel of Progress in Magic Kingdom’s Tomorrowland has some special patriotic scenes set in the 1920s for you to enjoy!
You can see the family in their red, white, and blue getups during “the hottest Fourth of July we’ve had in years,” according to them.
Coincidentally, this is also a great place for some air conditioning and resting in Disney World.
Grab A Hot Dog from Casey’s Corner
Nothing says the Fourth of July like a hot dog! There are a bunch of them to choose from over at Casey’s Corner on Main Street, U.S.A. — Get a classic and add your own condiments or go all out with a chili-cheese dog!
We also highly recommend the Corn Dog Nuggets over here because there’s nothing more American than frying some pork inside of cornbread and then dipping it in some hot “cheese.”
Go on an American Adventure
The American Adventure in EPCOT is in the American Adventure Pavilion and is a show spanning our country’s history, hosted by Benjamin Franklin and Mark Twain.
You’ll see important moments like the Boston Tea Party, the writing of the Declaration of Independence, the Civil War, and the Great Depression.
Oh, and it’s another great spot for a nap! 😂
Marvel at the Voices of Liberty
While you’re inside the American Adventure, you can enjoy music from the Voices of Liberty in the rotunda. It’s about a 15-minute performance with some patriotic songs!
On July 4th, you can catch them at 10:30AM, 11:15AM, 12:00PM, 12:45PM, 1:30PM, 2:15PM, 3:00PM, and 3:45PM.
Enjoy a Meal at Regal Eagle Smokehouse
Regal Eagle Smokehouse is also a part of this EPCOT pavilion and is cooking up some classic barbecue! Get things like smoked chicken, ribs, brisket, pulled pork, banana pudding, and more.
And outside, you’ll find a bar serving up some American craft beers on draft and some fun moonshine cocktails.
Meet Mickey & Friends in their Patriotic Best
Mickey & Friends will be in their special Fourth of July attire over in the American Adventure Pavilion! Last year, we spotted Mickey, Goofy, and Pluto…
…as well as Chip ‘n’ Dale!
See Spaceship Earth in Red, White, & Blue
Spaceship Earth in EPCOT will be lit up in red, white, and blue to look like the American Flag!
You should be able to see this after dark on both July 3rd & 4th.
Indulge in Fourth of July Treats
There are also a bunch of limited-time treats available around Disney World for the holiday! Recently, we tried the Fourth of July Mini Dome Cake at Amorette’s Patisserie in Disney Springs…
…and this red, white, and blue Mickey Cake Pop at the Main Street Confectionery in Magic Kingdom.
See Sam Eagle Salute America
If you’re over in Hollywood Studios, check out Sam Eagle in Muppet Vision 3D! He is prepping to show you his Salute to All Nations (But Mostly America).
We would expect nothing less from Sam Eagle! And, you’ll get to experience a condensed version at the end of the show (since his original comes in at over 3 hours).
Pose with Festive Signs for PhotoPass Pics
PhotoPass photographers in EPCOT (and likely the other parks) will have this giant patriotic buttons for you to pose with!
Here’s another one we found last year!
See Limited-Time Fireworks Shows
There will be two special fireworks shows happening this year. In Magic Kingdom, catch Disney’s Celebrate America! A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky at 9:20PM on July 3rd & 4th…
…and in EPCOT, see Heartbeat of Freedom following Luminous The Symphony of Us at EPCOT at 9PM on July 4th.
Watch the Dapper Dans
Finally, the Dapper Dans are out and about in Magic Kingdom in their Patriotic best! They’re riding along Main Street, U.S.A. singing some songs about America.
