Disney Recognizes Bob Iger’s 50 Years of Service With Prestigious Snow White Award
The Walt Disney Company has long recognized the commitment of its employees by bestowing them with Service Awards on major anniversaries.
Among the bronze statuettes that Disney employees can receive are Sorcerer Mickey (recognizing 10 years of service), Simba (20 years), Tinker Bell (25 years), Jiminy Cricket (30 years), and Pinocchio (35 years).
As it turns out, Disney’s dedication to recognizing the work of its employees extends all the way to the top.
Disney Recognizes Bob Iger’s 50 Years of Service
In a recent Instagram post, Bob Iger shared that he has received the 50-year Service Award, which features Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs!
“I started my career at ABC 50 years ago today and the business has certainly changed a lot since then! But at the end of the day, success still hinges on one thing: great storytelling,” he wrote. “I’m proud to work alongside so many talented colleagues who create exceptional stories and experiences for the world to enjoy… truly the ride of a lifetime!”

Iger’s Disney Career
Bob Iger’s 50 years of Disney service began when he joined ABC in 1974. Interestingly, the network was unaffiliated with Disney for the first 21 years of his career. Things changed, however, in 1995 when Disney bought Capital Cities/ABC.
Iger would adapt well to his new surroundings, eventually working his way up the Disney corporate ladder. In 2005, he was named CEO of The Walt Disney Company, replacing the ousted Michael Eisner.
After retiring from his position in 2021, Iger returned to the helm of Disney in November 2022. His current contract extends to 2026.
