Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Experiences Delayed Opening Following Extensive Refurbishment
Late last week, we brought you the news that Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster was set to reopen at Disney’s Hollywood Studios on July 1, nearly four weeks ahead of schedule.
For those who don’t know, the iconic roller coaster has been closed since January for what was seemingly an extensive refurbishment.
While it initially appeared that the attraction would reopen on July 27, Disney updated the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster website last week to inform guests that the ride would be reopening early.
Well, today is the big day! Or, at least, it was supposed to be.
Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Did Not Open on Time This Morning
In anticipation of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster’s return, fans flocked to Sunset Boulevard this morning but were greeted by an unwelcome sight.
The roller coaster did not open with the rest of Disney’s Hollywood Studios this morning as expected.
Here is a look at the scene outside the entrance to G-Force Records.
While initially, guests formed a line in front of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, Cast Members asked them to disperse.
After being told that any sort of line would not be honored, guests continued to wait.
When Will the Attraction Open?
At this time, it is not clear when Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster will open today. Hopefully, however, Disney is able to work out the kinks and fans get a chance to take a stretch — well, actually a super stretch — limo ride with Aerosmith soon.
As always, be sure to check back with MickeyBlog. We will continue to update you on the status of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster as we await the attraction’s reopening.
