‘Inside Out 2’ Has Surpassed $1 Billion in Record Time
In just its third weekend in theaters, Pixar’s Inside Out 2 has crossed the $1 billion milestone, making it just the 11th animated film ever to reach that plateu.
Perhaps even more impressively, by reaching $1 billion in just 19 days, Inside Out 2 has surpassed Frozen 2 as the fastest animated film to reach that mark.

Over its third weekend at that international box office, Inside Out 2 grossed an estimated $108 million. That number brings its international total to $545 million.
The Film Continues to Climb the Domestic All-Time Rankings
Domestically, the film has now grossed $469.3 million. The last time we updated you on Inside Out 2′s domestic box office performance, the film had passed Frozen to become the 9th highest-grossing animated film of all time.

Now, the film has surpassed Toy Story 3 ($415 million), The Lion King ($423 million), Toy Story 4 ($434 million) and Shrek 2 ($445 million) to become the fifth highest-grossing animated film ever at the domestic box office.
A Lifesaver For Theaters
The stunning success of Inside Out 2 has not only been a boon for Pixar, which has struggled in recent years, but movie theaters across the world.

Thanks to its robust theatrical run, Inside Out 2 is bringing together moviegoers of all ages for a shared cinematic experience that they will always remember.”
