WATCH: It’s Wolverine Vs. Sabertooth in the Latest ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ Trailer
In less than a month, Marvel Studios is set to return to the box office with the release of the highly anticipated Deadpool & Wolverine.
Not only will the upcoming film be the first installment in the Deadpool franchise produced by Marvel Studios, but the film is also set to bridge the gap between the 20th Century Fox X-Men movies and the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

With the film already trending towards a record-breaking opening weekend, anticipation for Deadpool & Wolverine is clearly through the roof.
Wolverine Vs. Sabertooth?!
Ahead of the film’s release, Marvel has released a new trailer for Deadpool & Wolverine that previews the long-awaited showdown between Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine and Tyler Mane’s Sabertooth.

Mane, of course, played Sabertooth in 2000’s X-Men.
Interestingly, it had previously been reported that Liev Schreiber would be portraying Sabertooth in the film, reprising his role from X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

In the new clip, Jackman’s Wolverine definitely yells, “Who’s next?” before an angry Sabertooth appears in front of him.
“Oh. My. God. Sabertooth,” Deadpool exclaims.

As both Wolverine and Sabertooth protract their claws and prepare to do battle, Deadpool calls a time-out.
“You look ridiculous,” Deadpool says to Wolverine as he pulls his own swords out of the mutant’s body. “People have waited decades for this fight. It’s not going to be easy.”

The two arch-enemies then charge towards each other as the clip ends.
A Battle in the Void
Outside of the obvious thrill of seeing Wolverine and Sabertooth finally battle, there are a couple of other takeaways from the clip. First off, the fight seems to be taking place in the Void.
As Loki fans will know, this is where variants go after they are pruned by TVA members. The setting of the fight could mean that the Sabertooth that Wolverine is fighting is a variant.

Secondly, as a fun Easter egg, it looks like Wolverine and Sabertooth are fighting in front of a destroyed 20th Century Fox logo!
