Virtual Queue and Lightning Lane Sell Out FAST For Tiana’s Bayou Adventure
Good morning from Magic Kingdom! It’s a big day — Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is officially opening!
If you want to ride the newly re-themed attraction, there are two ways to ride it for the foreseeable future — and they both require a bit of preparation. You can purchase Genie+ and book the Lightning Lane, and/or you can join the virtual queue. Let’s discuss how the virtual queue works!
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Virtual Queue
First, you’re gonna need to have the My Disney Experience app. Once you open it and log in, you can scroll a bit down to access virtual queues.
Note that TRON Lightcycle / Run and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind are also available via virtual queue, so make sure you have Tiana’s Bayou Adventure selected!
Once you click “Join Virtual Queue,” as long as you’re eligible, the app will prompt you to confirm your party.
You can hit refresh or scroll down to refresh the screen, and we recommend watching the clock closely so that you can refresh as soon as it hits 7AM or 1PM.
This morning, the virtual queue was filled pretty much as soon as the clock hit 7AM.
You can only join ONE virtual queue per day, so if you secure the 7AM queue, you can’t join the 1PM queue.
As long as you have a Magic Kingdom Park Pass or a ticket with valid entry to Magic Kingdom, you can join the 7AM queue from anywhere.
If you want to join the 1PM virtual queue, you have to be inside Magic Kingdom.
Can You Do Both Virtual Queue and Lightning Lane?
Theoretically, you’re able to book both a virtual queue (just ONE) and a Lightning Lane, but there are a few important things to keep in mind.
First, it’s extremely likely that for the foreseeable future, both the virtual queue and the Lightning Lane will sell out as soon as they open at 7AM.
And if this morning says anything, our prediction came true! The Lightning Lane was gone as soon as we refreshed the screen at 7AM.
But if you’re hoping to get both, we recommend purchasing Genie+ as soon as you’re able, which is at midnight on the same date of your visit. (Note that Genie+ is changing as of July 24, 2024 — you can click here to read more about it!)
Next, recruit someone else in your party to help out! At 7AM, one person can book the Lightning Lane, while the other can get the virtual queue.
Make sure you are both linked and have valid park admission in the My Disney Experience app.
Well, good luck everyone! Keep following MickeyBlog for more Disney World news!
