Jaimie Alexander Wants to See Lady Sif Team Up With Beta Ray Bill

Between the destruction of Asgard during the events of Thor: Ragnarok and the deaths of Loki and Heimdall at the hands of Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War, there are very few of the original Thor characters left standing in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

One original Thor character who we could see again, however, is Jaimie Alexander’s Lady Sif.

After playing a prominent role in the first two Thor films, Lady Sif was notably absent from Thor: Ragnarok. This was due in large part to Alexander’s commitment to filming the TV series Blindspot.

Alexander’s Plans For Lady Sif

Since that time, however, Sif has reappeared in Season 1 of Loki and also Thor: Love and Thunder, where it was revealed that she now resides in New Asgard.

With the powerful Asgardian warrior now back in the mix, many fans have wondered when we will see the character pop up again.

During a recent appearance at San Antonio’s Superhero Comic Con (via Agents of Fandom), Alexander shared her thoughts on what Lady Sif could do next.

“This is something my team and I have explored a little bit. My team and I have pitched a show with Lady Sif and Beta Ray Bill.”

Who Is Beta Ray Bill?

While MCU fans may not be familiar with Beta Ray Bill, comic book fans should be. Debuting in 1983’s The Mighty Thor, Beta Ray Bill is a Korbonite who was the first non-Asgardian to prove himself worthy of lifting Mjolnir.

While Bill has yet to make an official MCU appearance, he was referenced as a Champion of the Contest of Champions of Sakaar in Thor: Ragnarok.

Initially, the character was set to appear in the film before his role was cut. Kevin Feige subsequently stated that Bill’s cameo was removed due to his insignificant screen time. He did, however, promise that Bill would appear in a later film.

Beta Ray Bill and Sif have a long history in the Marvel comics. Perhaps then, Marvel will take Alexander up on her idea, and we will see the duo team up in the MCU.
