July 4th Travel Is Expected to Break Records—How Will This Affect Your Disney Vacation?
Summer is always a busy time at Disneyland and Disney World, but this July 4th may break records. (And we’re not talking about the kind of records you want Disney to break.)
AAA expects this July 4th travel season to have 70.9 million travelers–a 5% increase from 2023. And, unfortunately, it looks like the domestic Disney resorts may be the top destinations for these travelers.
July 4th at Disneyland and Disney World
Disneyland and Disney World are no strangers to large crowds during July 4th. Like…you don’t even have to enter the parks to be hit with crowds–they’re literally everywhere.
But this July 4th may prove to be the busiest yet. According to AAA, Orlando, Florida and Anaheim/Los Angeles, California are among the 10 most popular July 4th destinations this year. YIKES.
So…what does that mean for your July 4th Disney vacation? Well, since July 4th is typically one of the busiest days at the domestic parks, there may not be that noticeable of a difference in crowding. Regardless, we suggest going into the parks mentally prepared for large crowds (as you should always do during July 4th).
