Din Tai Fung to Soft Open at Downtown Disney in Just Three Days!
Just in time for summer, Din Tai Fung is getting ready to welcome its first guests for a soft opening on June 24, 2024, at Disneyland’s Downtown Disney District.
When the restaurant opens, it will be the only freestanding Din Tai Fung location built from the ground up and will be infused with design elements that pay homage to the company’s Taiwanese heritage.

Designed by the Rockwell Group, the restaurant’s exterior is a contemporary take on a traditional Chinese pavilion rooftop structure. Once inside, guests will be greeted by a suspended, beaded installation over the circular central bar and Chinese pendants. Two main dining rooms will be located on either end of the bar.

The Restaurant Will Serve a Limited Menu
Giving guests a chance to witness the artistry behind the restaurant’s world-famous dumpling-making process will be an expo kitchen.

Eventually, guests will be able to choose from an extensive menu that includes the restaurant’s signature soup dumplings, wontons, noodles, steamed buns, bok choy, and pork chop fried rice. During the soft opening, however, Din Tai Fung will offer a limited menu.
Exclusive Apparel and Accessories are on the Way!
Finally, to celebrate the restaurant’s opening, Din Tai Fung will be releasing its first-ever collection of apparel and accessories. These new items will be inspired by the restaurant’s Taiwanese heritage and its mascot, Bao Bao.
