Haunted Mansion Holiday Will Exclusively Use a Virtual Queue
The Nightmare Before Christmas fans will once again be able to celebrate the advent of spooky season when Haunted Mansion Holiday returns to Disneyland this fall.
While Disneyland has yet to announce when the season overlay will open, the park is promising that Jack, Sally, and the residents of Halloween Town will be materializing again this year!
With the ongoing construction of the Haunted Mansion’s queue, however, the Haunted Mansion Holiday will only be using a virtual queue to get guests on the ride.
Work on the Haunted Mansion’s Queue Continues
Interestingly, the Haunted Mansion has been closed while Disney continues to reimagine the attraction’s queue and construct a new store adjacent to the attraction’s exit.
When completed, the new extended queue will include gardens inspired by Master Gracey, Madame Leota, and the one-eyed cat.
By announcing that Haunted Mansion Holiday will use a virtual queue, it appears that Disneyland is admitting that the new queue will not be ready in time for the overlay’s arrival.
A Sneak Peek at Haunted Mansion Holiday
In addition to announcing that Haunted Mansion Holiday will be exclusively utilizing a virtual queue, Disney also gave a sneak peek at the gingerbread creation that will materialize in the attraction’s dining room (the standard attraction’s ballroom).
It is tough to see what the gingerbread creation will look like through the tears in the wrapping paper, but hopefully, we will get more details soon.
With Disneyland Resort announcing a slew of new and returning Halloween experiences this year, spooky season can’t get here soon enough!
