What Will Disney Be Like in November 2024
The moment that Halloween ends, Disney Cast Members spend the witching hour on a decidedly non-traditional process.
Yes, once the parks close at the end of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, Disney switches straight to Christmas.

By the time the parks open on November 1st, a change has already come.
So, what will Disney be like in November 2024? Festive. Let’s talk specifics.
Visiting Disney in November

Sometimes, Mickey’s Not-Scary Halloween Party lasts until a couple of days into November.
This year is not one of those years, which is good news for Yuletide holiday fans.

On November 1st, you’ll already notice Christmas decorations when you arrive at the parks.
Within a matter of days, most of the holiday décor will be readily visible.

By the middle of November, the full array of holiday activities will be up and running.
Disney doesn’t wait until the 12 Days of Christmas to get in the holiday spirit.

The early jump on the holiday season means that you’ll get to experience a multiple of Disney offerings.
Some are leftovers from previous months, while others debut in November.

In short, you’ll enjoy the best of both worlds during a November visit. Let’s talk specifics.
Let’s Talk about the Weather

Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Fla., will reimagine its holiday celebration this year. From Nov. 6 to Dec. 30, the resort’s four theme parks and Disney Springs will be decked with festive décor and offer special merchandise, enchanting new experiences and seasonal food and drinks. You’ll quickly discover a secondary benefit to visiting Disney World in November.
First, you’re at Disney, and nothing beats that. Second, you’re in Florida in November.

I don’t know where you live, but the odds are really good that Central Florida weather is better as winter begins.
I can prove this with data. The daily average high temperature in Orlando in November is 75 degrees.

While you’re watching the weather to learn how many layers you need to wear, Central Florida remains warm.
In fact, the average low temperature is 58 degrees. That may be higher than the average high temperature where you are!

To that point, even in November, Orlando’s temperature rarely drops below 46 degrees, while the low is rarely higher than 71 degrees, either.
So, you’ll remain comfortable throughout your visit, never too hot or cold. You’ll be like Goldilocks at Disney!

Of course, rainfall is still a thing in Orlando. Even though snowfall is rarer than a unicorn sighting, you may need to pack an umbrella.
Over the past few years, Central Florida has experienced cloudy days about 40 percent of the time.

You should consider that when packing, as the overcast weather may cause you to need a jacket, at least at night.
Thankfully, November is among the least rainy months. During a six-day vacation, the odds suggest you’ll have one or two rainy days.

Overall, that’s not bad at all for Orlando and highlights another reason why November is an ideal time to visit.
What Will You Find at Disney in November?

Let’s start with one of the lingering amenities I mentioned earlier.
The 2024 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival will remain open throughout most of November.

The final date for the event is November 23rd. Soon afterward, the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays will debut.
I don’t have an exact starting date yet, but it began in late November last year.

So, I’d expect a gap of a week or so between the two festivals.
Of course, those aren’t the only entertainment options. Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party (MVMCP) will return in 2024 as well.

The first night of the event should arrive in early November, probably by the 10th.
You’ll love this opportunity to hang out at Magic Kingdom at night when the park is otherwise closed to guests with regular admission.

Many of the character interactions will provide excellent photo ops due to the holiday outfits on display!
Also, some Magic Kingdom attractions will offer unique holiday overlays that are exclusive to this after-hours event.

Coasters
We also recently learned that Disney Jollywood Nights will return in 2024.
This ticketed event provides guests with access to Disney’s Hollywood Studios when the park is closed to regular guests.

Holidays in Hollywood in 2023
Jollywood Nights is more of an adult party, while MVMCP proves more family-friendly. It’s nice to have options as a vacationer, right?
What Else Can You Do in Orlando in November?

Sports lovers will discover plenty to do in Central Florida in November.
The football season will be well underway by this point. So, you can watch Universal of Central Florida football games.

This season, the school will be part of the Big 12, which isn’t new, but it’s still an adjustment due to the promotion.
Last season, UCF won only three conference games as it adjusted to being a smaller fish in a bigger pond.

Brightline
Thanks to the Brightline system, you can also hop on a high-speed train to catch an NFL game.
In Orlando, the Magic will follow up a relatively successful season with their most ambitious one in recent memory.

The team’s young core appears ready to take the next step in becoming a legitimate playoff contender.
They should host several home games in November, and the Orlando SC soccer team might as well.

Soccer schedules are lighter on games. So, you’ll have to pay more attention to the calendar to catch some footie.
Orlando also hosts several high-profile concerts, and I should point out another option if you’re visiting early in the month.

Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando Resort will last through November 3rd this year.
Those of you visiting early in the month may want to catch one of the event’s final dates.

Later in the month, Universal really leans into The Grinch as well if that’s more your thing.
Of course, you must be willing to leave the Disney Bubble to do any of these things, though, and most tourists aren’t gonna do that.

The Disney Bubble is simply too comfortable.
Final Thoughts

Here’s all I need to say about the greatness of November visits.
I could visit at any time I like, as I write about Disney for a living.

I’ve picked early November this year as the best time to schedule a vacation. So, I’m voting with my wallet here.
Join me in visiting Disney World in November. You most assuredly won’t regret it!
