Walt Disney World Wait Times for Second Week of June 2024
We’ve entered a time of transformational change at Walt Disney World.
Test Track has closed, while CommuniCore Hall & Plaza has opened.
At Magic Kingdom, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is hosting sneak previews and officially will debut on June 28th.
Soon, Country Bear Musical Jamboree will host its first performance, with The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure arriving in the fall.
So, after several years of status quo, the parks are in the middle of many updates.
How is all this change impacting the parks? We’ll find out in the Walt Disney World wait times for the second week of June 2024.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
At Animal Kingdom, we’re awaiting word on when Disney will close DinoLand, U.S.A. for good.
Park officials have filed the paperwork for work on what will become the Tropical Americas.
Once DinoLand closes, it should dramatically impact overall wait times, with guests having fewer ride options.
For the time being, we remain in a holding pattern, though. So, here are Animal Kingdom’s average wait times last week:
- Avatar Flight of Passage – 71 minutes, down 14
- Na’vi River Journey – 64 minutes, up 4
- Kali River Rapids – 47 minutes, down 8
- Expedition Everest – 41 minutes, down 3
- Adventurers Outpost – 37 minutes, down 8
- Kilimanjaro Safaris – 31 minutes, up 1
- DINOSAUR – 30 minutes, up 3
- It’s Tough to Be a Bug! – 10 minutes, no change
- TriceraTop Spin – 10 minutes, up 1
Overall, Animal Kingdom guests waited for an average of 38 minutes per attraction, which is two minutes less than last time.
We’re still awaiting those summer crowds at Animal Kingdom, as they definitely haven’t appeared so far.
Is that true for the rest of Disney World? Let’s find out…
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Here are the average waits at Hollywood Studios last week:

Overall, guests stood in line for an average of 39 minutes per attraction, which is the same as last time.
EPCOT
Okay, here’s one of the big stories of the week. We’ll include Test Track one more time before it goes away for a year.
Our reporters tracked the final day of Test Track, which never gained the final week rush that Splash Mountain had.
During the week, Test Track required an average wait of 64 minutes, which is seven minutes more than last time.
For its final week, it did require the longest wait of any EPCOT attraction.
However, we didn’t chronicle the kind of final-day euphoria we noticed with Splash Mountain.
I suspect that’s the difference in scale in the popularity of the two rides, but as a Test Track evangelist, I would have expected more.
Of course, I’m typing this on Sunday afternoon. So, it’s possible our reporters will capture more excitement in a couple of hours.
Anyway, here are the other average wait times at EPCOT last week:
- Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure – 60 minutes, down 6
- Frozen Ever After – 58 minutes, down 2
- Mission: SPACE – 50 minutes, up 2
- Soarin’ Around the World – 41 minutes, down 4
- Royal Sommerhus – 34 minutes, down 5
- Disney Pals at Mickey & Friends – 31 minutes, n/a
- Turtle Talk with Crush – 19 minutes, down 1
- Spaceship Earth – 18 minutes, down 4
- The Seas with Nemo & Friends – 15 minutes, down 1
- Living with the Land – 14 minutes, down 1
- Journey into Imagination with Figment – 13 minutes, down 5
- Gran Fiesta Tour Starring the Three Caballeros – 12 minutes, down 1
EPCOT Notes
Overall, EPCOT attractions came with an average wait of 33 minutes, which is one minute less than last time.
As a quick bookkeeping note, I plan to track Disney Pals regularly from now on.
Everything else at CommuniCore will depend on whether there’s a line or scheduled showtimes.
The latter applies to ¡Celebración Encanto!. You’ll notice that I don’t include shows like Festival of the Lion King for this reason.
However, if another character spot or something else becomes permanent, we’ll add it to EPCOT’s data tracking.

Final Thoughts
Overall, the average wait for Magic Kingdom attractions was 29 minutes, which is two minutes longer than last time.
So, two parks slightly decreased their wait times, while one increased, and the other remained the same.
How will the absence of Test Track impact wait times? We’ll find out next week, and Tiana officially debuts the following week.
