Dwayne Johnson’s Seven Bucks Signs First Look Deal With Disney
If they weren’t already, Disney fans should get used to seeing Dwayne Johnson’s face.
According to a new Variety report, Johnson and his Seven Bucks Production, which he owns with Dany Garcia, have signed a first-look deal with Disney to develop content for both theatrical and streaming films.
The projects will be vehicles for Johnson to star in and will not be limited to filmed content. In fact, according to Variety, the multi-year agreement applies to all of Disney’s divisions.

That could mean that Johnson will be involved in projects related to Disney Parks or possibly even ESPN.
Johnson Has Become A Frequent Disney Collaborator
As the relationship between Disney and Johnson has only gotten closer in recent years, the new agreement with Seven Bucks only makes sense.
Disney and the production company have worked together in the past, notably on Jungle Cruise, which starred Johnson, and two seasons of Behind the Attraction on Disney+.
Johnson, of course, is also known for his role as Maui in Disney’s Moana franchise. Not only is he set to reprise his role in the upcoming Moana 2, but he will also portray the character in Disney’s live-action remake of the original Moana, which is set to hit theaters in 2026.

Does This Mean ‘Jungle Cruise 2’ Will Happen?
While there is no word yet on what projects Johnson and Disney could be cooking up, today’s announcement certainly does not hurt the chances that a Jungle Cruise 2 could be put in development.

While Johnson has previously stated that a second Jungle Cruise film was on the way, Disney has yet to make an official announcement.
The last we heard from Johnson on the subject, he did not give a definitive answer.

“Possibly. Down the line, yeah, I’d wanna do it. Maybe, we’ll see,” the actor said.
