Magic Kingdom Will Be Conducting Fireworks Testing Overnight
Disney World is planning on testing fireworks overnight tonight at Magic Kingdom.
On the Walt Disney World Cast and Community Facebook page, Disney posted a community notice that stated, “Apologies to our neighbors and guests for some noise after midnight tonight due to sporadic firework testing at Magic Kingdom Park.”

With Magic Kingdom set to close at 10 PM tonight, the firework testing will take place long after guests have left the park. Still, those staying at one of the Magic Kingdom monorail resorts or locals who live in the area may hear the testing taking place.
What Is Disney Working On?
While firework testing is not overly unusual, it is a strange time of year for Disney to be working on a Magic Kingdom fireworks show.
Based on Disney’s post, we do not know exactly what show Disney will be testing overnight. Currently, Magic Kingdom performs Happily Ever After nightly, and it seems unlikely the testing is related to that show.

Instead, the testing likely has to do with one of the Magic Kingdom’s seasonal offerings. Whether that be the 4th of July fireworks or perhaps Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular, which is performed during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, remains unclear.
While the latter show will not return until August, it is possible that Disney is already planning ahead.
Check Back Soon!
Regardless of what the testing is for, if you happen to be in a vicinity of the Magic Kingdom overnight tonight, do not be alarmed if things get a little noisy after midnight.
