In celebration of the 30th anniversary of The Lion King, Disney has released some special treats in Animal Kingdom, and we’ve been trying out some of them — like the Zazu Ice Cream Sandwich and the You Follow Old Rafiki Cheesecake. Now it’s time for a Scar-themed cupcake!

Over at Pizzafari is the Rightful Ruler Cupcake, made with red velvet cake with cookies ‘n cream cheesecake filling and chocolate icing topped with a chocolate Scar medallion on chocolate rocks for $6.29.

Aside from being bright and beautifully photogenic, we’re happy to report that we enjoyed this cupcake!

The red velvet cake was very moist, and we loved the addition of the cookies ‘n cream cheesecake filling, which paired nicely with the red velvet.
The chocolate icing was a great addition to the other flavors too!

Note that overall, this was a very rich cupcake on the sweeter side of the spectrum, so this is meant for those of you with a pretty major sweet tooth.

Also, we struggled a bit getting the cupcake out of its wrapper, so make sure you have plenty of napkins and a sturdy plate handy!
The Rightful Ruler Cupcake will be available at Pizzafari and Restaurantosaurus until September 9, 2024.
