‘Inside Out 2’ Has Sold More Pre-Sale Tickets Than Any Pixar Film Since ‘Toy Story 4’
In just four days, Pixar is set to return to theaters in a big way with Inside Out 2.
The highly anticipated sequel to 2015’s Inside Out will take audiences back to Headquarters, where they will reunite with Joy, Sadness, and the rest of Riley’s emotions.
As Riley’s teenage mind becomes increasingly complicated, however, the team soon finds that new emotions, including Anxiety, Embarrassment, Ennui, and Envy, are moving in.
Anticipation For ‘Inside Out 2’ Is High
In the nine years since the original Inside Out was released, the film has remained beloved by Pixar fans. Understandably, then, anticipation for Inside Out 2 is through the roof.
Last November, the Inside Out 2 trailer became the most viewed animated trailer in Disney history. Then, last month, early tracking indicated that the film could have the first $100 million domestic opening weekend of 2024.
Pre-Sale Tickets Are Strong
In what is just the latest sign that fans are excited about the upcoming Pixar film, Fandango has reported that Inside Out 2 has surpassed the original Inside Out in advance ticket sales. That means that the film now has the most ticket pre-sales for a Pixar film since Toy Story 4.
While Elemental ended up being a sleeper success for Pixar last year, Inside Out 2 is setting up to be a true return to form for the studio.
Inside Out 2 will hit theaters on June 14.
