Join Us on The First Sailing to Disney’s Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point!
Today’s the day! MickeyBlog is setting sail on the Disney Magic to visit Disney Cruise Line’s newest island destination, Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point, for the FIRST time!
In case you missed it, Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point is located on the island of Eleuthera in The Bahamas, and we’re attending the preview sailing from Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
If you’ve traveled via Disney Cruise Line anytime since 1997, you may have visited Disney’s other private island destination — Castaway Cay.
But Lookout Cay is all-new! This new destination “pays tribute to the beauty of nature,” as well as the culture, traditions, and stories of The Bahamas.
Let’s get into it!
Setting Sail
We traveled to Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to catch the Disney Magic’s preview sailing to Lookout Cay.
We arrived early for our call time, which was scheduled at 11:45AM. You can read all about Embarkation Day by clicking here!
Port Everglades has all kinds of fun Disney references! Here are murals of Mickey and Minnie…
…and Steamboat Willie and Minnie!
We were directed to Terminal 4.
As a reminder, always arrive with all your correct documents in hand! You don’t want to have to wait in multiple lines to resolve any missing documents or check-in issues.
It was time to get in line!
After some waiting, it was finally time to board!
This is what the terminal looks like…
…and here’s our ship, the Disney Magic!
Staterooms were scheduled to be ready at 1:30PM ET.
Captain Minnie joined us at boarding!
That’s all for now, but we’ll be back soon with lots more!
We may have just set sail but we’ll be back with lots of new information about Lookout Cay in the coming days, so keep following MickeyBlog for more Lookout Cay news!
