PHOTOS: Celebrating 25 Years of The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
If you love this willy-nilly, silly ol’ bear and the heartwarming stories of the Hundred Acre Wood, there’s a good chance you have ridden the iconic The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh at Walt Disney World.

This week, the fan-favorite attraction turns 25. To celebrate the special anniversary, Disney Parks is sharing a selection of unique photos of Winnie the Pooh and his pals, including fun pics of the attraction through the years.

In 1998, this original photo shared a sign announcing the new attraction coming soon!

Though Pooh and his friends didn’t have an official attraction yet, they already had a presence in the park.

Guests at the time could see them in meet and greets and Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in 1997!
This was the perfect chance for fans to see the rarer characters, including Owl, Kanga, and Roo.
Grand Opening
The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh opened on June 4, 1999.

Guests rode an oversized Hunny Pot with their Disney friends through the Disney animated film “Winnie the Pooh.”

The ride’s exterior has evolved over the years, with a reimagined queue and facade in 2010. The updates included relocating a 120-ton tree to blend into the new Fantasyland expansion.

The new queue is an interactive experience perfect for the whole family.

Over the years, Winnie the Pooh and his friends have continued making appearances in the park, from a group photo in front of Cinderella Castle in 2000 to an appearance in the Share A Dream Come True Parade in 2001 to visits at Disney’s Animal Kingdom! And let’s not forget Crystal Palace!
