Disneyland Resort Closes Club Pixar Dance Party Two Months Early After Guest Feedback
Club Pixar, the nighttime dance party that debuted as part of Pixar Fest in Disney California Adventure on April 26, has closed two months earlier than expected.
While Disneyland fans had hoped that the dance party would be geared towards adults, they were soon faced with yet another entertainment offering geared towards children.

Disneyland had originally described Club Pixar as a dance party that would feature a live DJ, themed games, and specialty food and drinks.
Some Fans Thought the Party Would Geared Toward an Older Crowd
Based on this description and its late start time, some fans had assumed the party would be similar to the more adult-oriented Mad T Party or ElecTRONica dance parties that have previously been held at Disney California Adventure.
“At the Hollywood Backlot, feel the magic of Pixar come to life with music, games and more, inspired by the amazing stories from Pixar Animation Studios,” the Club Pixar official description reads.

“During the evening, Club Pixar comes alive with music, Pixar-themed versions of games like cornhole and tic tac toe, photo opportunities, themed food, specially crafted beverages and even a fun “drive-in” theatre showcasing some of your favorite Pixar Shorts.”
Disneyland Pulls the Plug
Instead, the show ended up being your typical Disney dance party, which tends to be aimed towards younger guests.
Now, just over a month after the new dance parties opened, Disney is sending the Club Pixar dancers and DJs packing.

According to the OC Register, Disneyland made the decision to remove the live performers based on “guest feedback and operational considerations.”
The Rest of Club Pixar Will Remain Open
Moving forward, Club Pixar will continue to offer the games, photo opportunities, and food and beverages promised in its description, albeit without the live show.

The experience will continue to welcome fans of all ages through the end of Pixar Fest on August 4.
