Much of Disney’s filming has taken place at Pinewood Studios, where films such as Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, and the upcoming Deadpool & Wolverine.

“Whenever I’m at Pinewood, what makes the biggest impression on me is the scale of the operation, the diversity of skills,” said Koeppen. “We’re talking about thousands of people, all part of the wider ecosystem. And on every single production, there are trainees getting experience to begin their careers in film and TV. All part of Disney’s long-term commitment to the UK.”
Disney Has Been Producing Content in the UK For 75 Years
Koeppen has been in his current position for five years, during which time Disney produced 41 shows and 29 feature films in the United Kindom. Those productions have supported over 32,000 jobs.

As part of his larger point about Disney’s commitment to the United Kingdom, Koeppen also noted that Disney has been operating in the nation “longer than most companies here today have been in business,” estimating that it has been about 75 years.
Recent Disney+ Successes
Finally, Koeppen highlighted some of Disney+ Europe’s successes over the last year. Coleen Rooney: The Real Wagatha Story, which was created in the UK, was the second most-watched unscripted series in the country last year.
The international hit Shogun, meanwhile, has become Disney+’s most-viewed series premiere in EMEA ever.

“Disney+ is a product with broad appeal – and this of course has a lot to do with the wide variety of content that we offer,” Koeppen concluded.
