‘Captain America: Brave New World’ Is Undergoing 22 Days of Reshoots
Despite the fact that principal photography started almost 15 months ago, Marvel Studio reassembled the cast of Captain America: Brave New World this week for additional reshoots.
The film was initially scheduled to land in theaters on May 3, 2024, before Marvel pushed the release date back to July 26, 2024. Due in part to last year’s Hollywood strikes, which created a backlog of films, Brave New World’s release date was delayed again to February 14, 2025.

While the film’s principal filming was not affected by the onset of the SAG-AFTRA, its postproduction was.
Reshoots Are Underway
Perhaps in part due to the additional time afforded Marvel, the studio brought the Captain America: Brave New World cast back to Atlanta this week for 22 days of reshoots. According to the Hollywood Reporter, among the elements filmed were new action sequences.
They also saw the addition of Giancarlo Esposito to the Brave New World cast.

The reshoots are reportedly not as extensive as those underwent by recent Marvel films, including Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and The Marvels.
‘Captain America: Brave New World’
When the film finally does hit theaters, Captain America: Brave New World will see Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson finally assume the mantle of Captain America from Steve Rogers.

The film will also see the return of Liv Tyler’s Betty Ross, Danny Ramirez’s Falcon, Carl Lumbly as Isaiah Bradley, and Harrison Ford assume the role of Thunderbolt Ross from the late William Hurt.
Captain America: Brave New World will hit theaters on February 14, 2025.
