Ryan Reynolds Confirms ANOTHER ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ Cameo
With Deadpool & Wolverine set to bridge the gap between the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and the Fox X-Men movies, the film is expected to feature an impressive list of cameos.
So far, we know that long-lost X-Men characters, including Pyro, Sabertooth, Lady Deathstrike, Toad, and Jennifer Garner’s Elektra, will all be popping up in the film. Additionally, rumors continue to swirl that we will see Patrick Stewart’s Professor Xavier and Halle Berry’s Storm.
While he wouldn’t name any names, Deadpool star Karan Soni teased that fans will see some familiar faces.
“This new MCU version is ultra-secretive. There are a lot of surprises,” he said. “Let’s just say a lot of people traveled to London.”
Ryan Reynolds Reveals Another Cameo
While the Deadpool & Wolverine team has done their best to keep things under wrap, Ryan Reynolds has revealed one star who will be appearing in the upcoming film.
During a recent segment of the new Disney+ show Welcome to Wrexham, Reynolds revealed that he had promised his Wrexham co-chair and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia Star Rob McElhenney a place in the film.
“Because of my busy schedule, I had to invite my co-chair, Rob McElhenney, to the set of Deadpool in London to discuss all things Wrexham. And, yes, I did have to promise him a role in the upcoming Deadpool film.”
The episode then showed Reynolds and McElhenney on set, though much of the footage was blurred.
Who Will McElhenney Play?
“Now, I can’t necessarily tell you which character Rob plays in Deadpool for fear of being shot down by the Marvel drone that follows me and my kids around,” he quipped.
For those who don’t know, Reynolds and McElhenney are co-owners of the Wrexham A.F.C., who currently compete in EFL League One. The Disney+ series, then, follows the team’s progress.
While Reynolds would not reveal what role McElhenney would be playing Deadpool & Wolverine, fans seem to believe that he will be playing a TVA agent.
Deadpool & Wolverine will hit theaters on July 26, 2024.
