WATCH: Disney Celebrates 10 Years of ‘Aladdin’ on Broadway With a Special Performance From EPCOT
In celebration of the 10th anniversary of Aladdin on Broadway, Disney Theatrical Group premiered a full performance of Aladdin on Broadway Concert Celebration — Live at EPCOT on YouTube.
The performance featured a slew of Broadway stars, including the current Genie of Aladdin on Broadway, Michael James Scott, along with Bradley Gibson (The Lion King, Hercules), Mandy Gonzalez (Aida), and Shoba Narayan (Aladdin).

The group performed several songs from Aladdin, including “Proud of Your Boy,” “A Whole New World,” “Friend Like Me,” and more.

The concert was taped during the Disney on Broadway Concert Series, which occurs annually at EPCOT as part of the International Festival of Arts.

Aladdin opened on Broadway at the New Amsterdam Theatre to critical acclaim on March 20, 2014. Since then, the show has proven to be a smash hit.
‘Aladdin the Musical’
Over the last decade, the show has set 17 New Amsterdam Theatre house records and spawned 11 productions on foreign continents. In total, the show has welcomed nearly 20 million people.

According to Disney, “The current cast of Aladdin stars Michael Maliakel making his Broadway debut in the title role, Michael James Scott as Genie, Sonya Balsara as Jasmine and Dennis Stowe as Jafar. The show also features Milo Alosi, Zach Bencal and Brad Weinstock as Aladdin’s sidekicks Kassim, Babkak and Omar, JC Montgomery as Sultan and Don Darryl Rivera as Iago. Caleb Barnett, Jeremy Gaston and Wes Hart stand by for several principals.”
